"From start to finish Levi, Tony, Rachael and the rest of the Anchor Barrow team were a dream to work with. Nothing was too much trouble and you could tell that they cared about our special day as much as we did! The staff felt more like friends after getting to know them over the three months of planning - they were always smiling and going out of their way to make it the best day ever! Couldn’t thank them enough! If the stunning setting doesn’t sell you then the staff definitely will!

The food was incredible! We had a roast on the wedding day and a bbq on the Sunday! The portion sizes were huge and the quality of food was the best! The staff went out of their way to cater for everyone and all of our guests left feeling very happy and very full!

Our guests absolutely loved the venue, food and staff! Lots of them commented on how it was the best wedding they had ever been to and that goes to show how amazing the venue is! They couldn’t believe that we were their first booked wedding, you would have thought that this venue had been going for decades with the attention to detail and organisation that they had!

The fun and food was spread over a whole weekend of celebrations and I couldn’t pick a favourite day! I had never heard of a weekend wedding before and I am so glad that we decided to do this! It meant that we could do everything that we wanted without having to cram it into one day! We were even allowed a few days before and after the wedding weekend to set up and pack down - this was a game changer and meant that we could spend even more time with our friends and family! Most of our guests camped at the site and it was so special to have all of our families and friends in one place! It allowed people to travel from all over the country to be with us which made it a lot easier - especially with the wedding being so last minute!

The day ran so smoothly, it was perfection! Even when we were running slightly behind the staff sorted everything out for us and meant that we had absolutely no stress on the day! There were so many personal and special touches throughout the weekend that you wouldn’t get at other venues!"

"We got married at Anchor Barrow in May 2024 and had the most perfect day, which was helped massively by all the work and preparation of Levi, Rachel and the team. The site is on a stunning hilltop location which our guests loved for canapes, games and getting the full Cornwall experience.

We had loads of compliments from our guests, lots of them about the food which lots of people said was the best they had ever had at a wedding. We had the wedding breakfast, speeches, band and dancing in the barn which looked amazing and helped create a lovely, laid-back and warm atmosphere for everyone.

Overall, an amazing venue and one we would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed, fun wedding with incredible views and an amazing team on hand to help with the day!"

"Oh how we wish we could give a million stars, as it is truly deserved.

During our initial meeting, we were guided through the endless possibilities of how we could curate a wedding that truly represents us as a couple and our love story. The meeting was unpressurised and was filled with understanding of how overwhelming planning a wedding can be, a complete contrast to the experiences we had elsewhere.

Levi & Tony (the owners) had found the same struggle when trying to plan their wedding until they became the first couple to get married at Anchor Barrow. They give just as much care, attention and love to the weddings that followed, as they did their own. The support, information and prompts we received from Levi, Rachel and the team during the planning process was invaluable.

For our special celebration we chose to have a Wedding Weekend, allowing us and guests to be on site from Friday through to Monday. In addition, we were able to be on site decorating the various spaces on the Wednesday & Thursday prior. With the help of loved ones, Levi & Rachel we were able to decorate and prepare the Barn, Marquee, Bathrooms and Pergola, without letting any of us burn out in the final days leading up to the event. Rachel's finishing touches of the napkins, cutlery, glassware and sprigs of thyme elevated and finessed the overall appearance of the long tables. We're forever grateful as these elements hadn't crossed our minds.

To make the most of our time and to help ease our guests into the weekend we invited everyone to Anchor Barrow on the Friday afternoon and treated them to a performance by my Nephew Alfie (Lead singer and instrument extraordinaire of the band Beyond Paradise). On the Saturday, the last-minute elements were put in place whilst we started getting ready. Which was mainly a few signs, a basket of blankets, Bucks Fizz and a care basket of dog-safe bubbles, treats & balls by the dog field for our canine guests.

The ceremony held by the Pergola with Haybales & Benches at the front for our guests that needed more support, was perfect. The traditional posed photos were carried out just below the Pergola, allowing all of our loved ones to be captured for our memories. We managed to enjoy one of our welcome cocktails each (Spicy Margarita and A Dark & Stormy) and mingle for a moment before we snuck off to the nearby coastal path for some breathtaking photos of just us, soaking up our moment in the atmospheric scenery.

All the while the staff kept everyone comfortable, hydrated and fed by tending to the selection of welcome drinks, catering to each person’s needs and circulating the delicious canapes. To ensure we did not miss out and that we had a private moment to breathe/soak up the day so far, the team had arranged a board of the canapes and another set of our cocktails to savour on our return to the Barn. Another precious moment we will treasure.

Our guests were astonished by the beauty of the Barn whilst they devoured the food from the Hog Roast and accompanying sides/desserts. No dietary needs or special requests from our guests were ignored and all the staff were more than happy to help everyone. The evening was complete with more entertainment from DJ Nerdy (a dear & close friend), the Flicksbox Photobooth, use of the silent disco equipment and some multi-light foam sticks for everyone to party with.

We decided to give people the option to book breakfast's each morning and to join us for a BBQ catered by Anchor Barrow (each guest could book & pay through us in advance). Again, these meals were full of flavour and enjoyed by everyone."

"The day couldn’t have been more perfect and the venue itself is such a big component of that. The outside space is an incredible setting for a ceremony and reception - gorgeous views, plenty of seating, and a patio and bar area that’s also all under cover from a canopy should the weather not be the nicest.

Inside the barn is also great - it’s really roomy and doesn’t require much decoration to become a really beautiful space. The long bench tables are a bit different to the smaller round tables you typically get in wedding venues, but to be honest we definitely preferred them - decorating them was super easy and for the guests they were probably even more sociable as round ones. For the evening, these get pushed back to make room for a dance floor.

As well as being able to accommodate live music, Anchor Barrow provides a full silent disco setup so that you can keep the party going late. This was really fun, and if it’s something you want to use I definitely recommend keeping it a secret from your guests as we did - it was a really exciting surprise for them just as they thought the day was coming to a close.

For welcome drinks we had two different types of cocktails made up for everyone, plus non-alcoholic options. The canapes were also absolutely delicious and there was more than enough to go around. For the wedding breakfast, there were ample amounts of toasting bubbles and table wine, and the food itself was exquisite - our guests were absolutely raving about the food.

Anchor Barrow offers lots of different food packages, and we went for the barbecue option, where we got loads of choices for meats, vegetarian and vegan options, sides, and desserts. There was also an incredible evening buffet and they even lit some fire pits outside and provided marshmallows for toasting! They were also very accommodating of dietary requirements of which we had a fair few among our guests."

"We got married at Anchor Barrow in September 2024 and had an incredible experience from start to finish. We would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a truly special place to have a fun, relaxed, weekend wedding in the beautiful Cornish countryside.

We really loved the fact that the venue was ours for the entire weekend and the built-in camping was such a bonus. We opted to have the bar open on the Friday night and add on a brunch on Sunday morning and this allowed us to spend the maximum amount of time with our guests. We were also able to gain access to the venue a couple of days before and after the big day which made the set up / clean up process stress free.

We cannot say enough good things about Levi, Rachel, Tony and the AB team. From the first moment we met Levi and Rachel they made us feel so comfortable, which was part of the reason we picked the venue, and this continued throughout our entire experience at AB. Nothing was too much trouble and they were full of helpful advice both during the planning stages, and on the day.

In terms of location, the site was perfect. We were able to have some time to ourselves on the day to take pictures at a nearby cove, which was really special, and in the evening we took our guests for the short walk to the nearby headland for the sunset. Everyone was also able to make the most of Perranporth being so close to the venue over the course of the weekend, including a dip in the sea on the morning of the wedding!

High on the list was the food which was of such a high standard. We went for a hog roast with an amazing variety of sides, and the mac & cheese was definitely a favourite! We also had a few different dietary requirements, including vegans and nut allergies, which were catered for brilliantly. A special mention for the extra brunch that we added on the Sunday morning which contained so many different, delicious options!"
